EMERGENCY pt eUROPA Workshop (2007)

From September 14-17 in 2007, Jonathan Fox led the Emergency PT Europa workshop in Budapest, Hungary. The workshop was co-sponsored by Central European Playback Theatre School(CEUPTS) in cooperation with the School of PT in New York and playback practitioners from nine countries attended. The purpose of the workshop was to acquire tools for delivering playback theatre to communities suffering from a natural or civil emergency. It helped students learn what needs to be done practically, ethically, and artistically to fulfill playback theatre's potential to serve people in crisis. Jonathan led this workshop informed from the previous Playback Theatre Katrina Relief Project in New Orleans (click here for information on the Katrina Relief Project). The teaching language was in English, with assistance in German, French, Italian, Russian.
