The School of Playback Theatre is part of the Centre for Playback Theatre.
The School offers comprehensive training for playback theatre, a form of
personal improvisational theatre, valuing story, ritual, and community.
Now in its
15th year, the School is a
training institute devoted to playback theatre, a form of improvisation based on
personal story. Courses range from one day to three weeks and are sequential.
We hold our Winter Session Courses at Falling Waters
in Saugerties, New York and our Summer Session Courses are at Manhattanville College in Purchase, NY. We also have courses in New York City. Watch our website
for updates. Students usually take about three years to complete the
program, which culminates in a diploma. CLICK HERE FOR 2008 TRAINING WORKSHOPS
