February 22nd – 25th, 2017
This course, for new and experienced conductors, will offer an in depth investigation into the complexities and artistry of conducting. Students will practice finding the heart of the story, asking the essential questions to create warm-up, choosing the right form, reading the audience, and ensuring a balance of tellers. Experienced conductors will be able to explore levels beyond “I just hope a teller will come to the chair!” Beginning conductors will be able to learn the basic skill set. This training will build better conductors and group leaders so that we can deliver more effective and powerful Playback Theatre in the world.
