WORKSHOP IN HUNGARY
September 14-17 , 2007 Emergency PT Europa Taught by Jonathan Fox Location: Biofalu Ecovillage, in the charming town of Máriahalom outside of Budapest, Hungary Cost: 500 Euros (includes room and all food for three nights, four days). When disaster strikes, people desperately need a forum to share their stories, and playback theatre can be a wonderful resource--if we can organize it. The purpose of this workshop is to acquire tools for delivering playback theatre to communities suffering from a natural or civil emergency. It will help you know what needs to be done practically, ethically, and artistically to fulfill playback theatre's potential to serve people in crisis. Jonathan's teaching will be informed by learning from the recent Playback Theatre Katrina Relief Project in New Orleans (click here for information on the Katrina Relief Project). Teaching language will be English, with assistance in German, French, Italian, Russian. Prerequisites: This workshop is open to members of active companies and students with at least 50 hours of playback theatre training, or by permission of Jonathan Fox. This workshop is co-sponsored by Central European Playback Theatre School(CEUPTS) in cooperation with the School of PT in New York.
