Jennie Kristel, President

Portrait of Jen MillerJennie is an artist and an expressive arts therapist, who also serves on the Board of Very Special Arts (Vermont). She is also a founding member of Vermont Playback Theatre. She is a graduate of the School of Playback Theatre.



Pamela Freeman, Vice President

Pamela is a psychotherapist in Philadelphia and a long time social activist in peace and social justice. She is co-founder of Playback for Change in Philadelphia, and a graduate of the School of Playback Theatre.



Will Chalmus, Secretary

Will Chalmus graduated from Brandeis University with honors in 2007. He is the founder of the Brandeis Playback Society.



Tom Taft, Treasurer

Tom is the Chief Operating Officer for Germantown Academy just north of Philadelphia. He also coaches track, has an MBA from Yale and remains awestruck by the power of Playback Theatre.



Jonathan Fox, Founder

Jonathan is the founder of Playback Theatre and the artistic and executive director of the original Playback Theatre company from its inception in 1975. He is the author of Acts of Service: Spontaneity, Commitment, Tradition in the Nonscripted Theatre; the editor of The Essential Moreno: Writings on Spontaneity, Psychodrama and Group Method; and co-editor of Gathering Voices: Essays on Playback Theatre. In 2008 he was awarded an honorary doctorate from the University of Kassel in Germany for artistic and scholarly achievement in theatre.



Veronica Needa

Veronica Needa serves in a leadership role in two playback theatre companies in England–Playback AME and True Heart Theatre. Veronica is past president of the International Playback Theatre Network and a graduate of the School of Playback Theatre. She lives in London.



Sheila Donio

Sheila is a Brazilian actress and theater director, currently living in Massachusetts, USA.  A graduate from the Centre, she has been teaching Playback Theatre in both countries. Committed to helping the Brazilian PT community have access to more resources, Sheila translates articles and newsletters into Portuguese and distributes them to practitioners in Brazil and Portugal.
