Reflections Playback Theatre is the hospital based troupe of Shands Hospital at the University of Florida. It was created in 1996 under the auspices of the Shands arts in medicine program. Performance volunteers from the university and Gainesville community perform at the bedside and in public spaces throughout the hospital. Rehearsals and/or performances are held on a weekly basis.
The troupe director is Paula Patterson, a graduate of the Centre for Playback Theatre.
She was also the founding director of San Diego Playback and Playback Jacksonville.
