Dear Playback community,

In response to the growing complexity of Playback work, and to encourage a stronger foundation of training, we are pleased to announce an updated curriculum framework.

In the near future, we will be sending this curriculum to our Affiliated Schools, Accredited Trainers, and Leadership graduates.

This is a living document. Our hope is that it will inform, inspire, and guide teachers and students all around the world.

The Curriculum Development Committee began the work back in 2014, and many have worked on this at one point or another. There has been much perseverance and dedication for this version to see the light of day.

Our gratitude and appreciation to:

  • Manfred Barbarino

  • Will Chalmus

  • Jen Kristel

  • D. Soyini Madison

  • Veronica Needa

  • Larry Ng

  • Synne Platander

  • Tim Reagan

  • Jo Salas

  • Judy Swallow

Thank you for your wisdom and insights.

In addition, we would like to thank the Affiliate Schools who had a chance to review earlier drafts. We could not incorporate all the suggestions into this version, but your feedback has been helpful, and we acknowledge the quality work you do in your own geographical locations.

Lastly, we give thanks to the early playbackers, who first penned their thoughts about Playback training into a structured framework. This was the basis of our work. We hope this current version will serve current needs, and that it will evolve to meet the future needs of Playbackers everywhere.
